LIQUID IV WATER EMERGENCY

In 2021, the Liquid IV social impact team approached WCPG with the mandate of spending a $1 million surplus in support of an organization working to bring clean drinking water to communities within the United States.

Result:

WCPG worked with the Liquid IV team to identify characteristics of the ideal charity partner and the KPIs of the partnership. We arranged meetings with and proposals from four organizations in this space and advised on the proposal with the most potential for impact.

WCPG ultimately guided Liquid IV in selecting non-profit DigDeep and its Appalachia WaterProject – bringing clean, running water to 100 families in McDowell County in West Virginia, that had intermittent water access and experienced poor water quality due to 100-year-old infrastructure.

And in 2022, with Liquid IV’s support, DigDeep was able to expand its work to Wyoming County, WV, where the organization installed connections to 111 homes who were lacking access to piped water or had aged pipelines that caused limited or no water, unsafe drinking water, and/or were at risk of burst pipes.

With WCPG’s guidance, Liquid IV’s investment not only had a clear, tangible impact, but it also opened the door for future and larger partnerships with DigDeep.
